Atid is BBYO’s totally unique second timer’s Israel experience. It offers an opportunity to take part in a two week programme which is not available anywhere else.

Go back to Israel with the amazing friends you made on tour and interact with Israel like never before. Add to the experiences you had last summer and build on your connection to Israel. You will visit some of the places you loved on tour and learn more about Israeli culture, society and politics. You will create stronger bonds with your friends, develop your leadership skills and prepare for BBYO’s Me’ir programme.

Atid is different for Tour in that it provides a more in depth look at the complex social and political issues facing Israelis on a daily basis. On Tour members scrape the surface of Israeli life, however the more intensive Atid programme offers an insight into Israeli culture and daily life, with the chance to meet Israeli journalists, Darfuri refugees and different people that make up the Israeli society.

Atid gives you the chance to experience new places and various other new activities such as caving, water sports and visits to the theatre. We also put the ideologies of BBYO into practice by contributing to various community projects. Amongst other things, the Atid participants volunteer at the children’s hospital in Tel Aviv, play with Ethiopian immigrants in Jerusalem and paint and read with the Children at a Circassian school in Rechaniyah.

As well as having these amazing experiences participants will greatly develop leadership skills for the future, benefiting from the guidance and leadership of last years tour madrichim who are some of the most experienced madrichim in the movement.

The Atid programme is a fantastic opportunity for you to follow up your interest and love for Israel and a chance to actually make a difference to the everyday lives of its citizens.
