Israel & Truth Campaign (JZA) Update

JZA stands for Jewish Zionist Awarness Officer and is a position on the National Executive of BBYO. The role of the JZA is to keep the members informed of the situation in Israel and to help the District have a connection to thier Judaism. These Israel and Truth campaign Updates are a way in which our current National JZA, Sam Fromson plans to do this.

National Update

This update will be sent out every fortnight and will contain a brief outline of what is happening in Israel as well as information about what is coming up in the Jewish calendar. If any of you feel that there is an issue that I should mention or want to volunteer an article or update of your own, feel free to email it to me (samf@bbyo.org.uk) and I will incorporate it, if possible, into the next update. I have also decided to incorporate my idea of a Truth campaign into this update. Whenever I see an article that is unfair, anti-Israel or anti-Semitic, I will put details of it on this update and I encourage all of you to either write a letter or send an email to the relevant news service so that we can make ourselves heard. Again, if anyone spots an article that is unfair, anti-Israel or anti-Semitic, send the details to me, and it will be included in the next update. Best Wishes Your National JZA: Sam Fromson

 The BBYO Truth Campaign is a project by the National JZA (Sam Fromson), his aim is to get as many people as possible to actually do something, to make a difference, to complain to the media where they feel that Jewish and Israeli interests have been misunderstood and portrayed badly.
